 A sprawling underground city grown inside the hollowed trunk and major roots of a colossal dead tree that once stood on the surface. The upper levels are lit by cold blue fungi and filled with markets, inns, and the halls of the Pale Court. The lower levels descend into absolute darkness where the oldest root-tunnels open. Outsiders are tolerated only as long as they remain useful. The deeper one goes, the more the wood itself begins to whisper. |
